Meet the Artist

About

Hi, I'm Tannaz Pourboghrat. I'm an artist in Nevada skilled in drawing, painting, & sculpting. Also learning to sew. I'm on the Autism Spectrum, so... bare with me lol.

I have an Emotional Support Bird who keeps me company. Her name is Albus, and she helps get me through my major organic depression, anxiety, and PTSD.

Mission

Right now I'm just a small business of one person, so it's hard to get things done quickly. I also only have so much to work with financially (currently), which limits me in what I can invest in, and thus in turn affects the result my products will reflect. But even though I'm not yet where I wanna be in terms of both quality & success, I know things are shifting. I'm hoping to build a team someday & grow into a company that can provide the kind of high quality dolls I envision. I don't know when that day will be or how I'll get there, but I know why I'm heading there. I've come here to create. To express myself through my art. And provide smiles and comfort to those who receive it.

Vision

I'm taking steps toward making my own molds from scratch, rather than modifying already-made dolls. My new design will coordinate my favorite aspects of American Girl Dolls and various BJDs, while rooting out the things that I'd wished were done differently. I think that's what all creators do. We find inspiration, pick & choose what ingredients we wish to keep or throw away or add to... until it becomes something authentic to us.

I also plan on sewing cotton dolls as well. They are most commonly found in the 20cm size, but I want to make really detailed 10cm ones so that they can be toy dolls for my 18inch dolls. I'll also make build-a-bear sized ones (stuffed like squishmallows) for hug therapy. I've realized just how much I need that in my life.
