I began as an artist in Illinois as soon as I could hold a pencil. When we moved to Nevada 2 decades later, I got my BA in Painting & Drawing at UNLV. But then I realized that the old fashioned, traditional, hyper-realism oil painting wasn't actually the route for me.

I've found my heart in doll design. I love refurbishing old dolls and creating new. I love making a doll feel beautiful, cared for, valued, appreciated, and loved again. I love really getting to connect with the dolls and imbuing them with loving energy. I put a lot of care into my work and love knowing I'll be making someone out there happy. I know dolls are inanimate objects... but to me, they're precious innocent souls. And as an asexual soul myself, I feel intensely protective over them as if they were a child. Dolls can't speak or defy/detest our actions or give consent or show any emotion. They can't stand up for themselves. It may sound silly, but I'm very passionate about pure innocent play and treating them with the utmost dignity, respect, value, and privacy. All the same chaste boundaries I'd want for myself. I know it's out of my hands, but I can only hope that my dolls will only ever be used in that way and not the other kind.

I am starting to learn how to sew, in hopes of making my own clothing for them. We'll see how it goes! I'm hoping it's a hidden skill I never knew I had & won't be too hard, because there's so much I want to make and am eager for my wardrobe to grow! I like giving my own dolls a classy quaint look to match my own style (so we can be twinsies lol), but I'm open to custom requests as well so long as it's not provocative.

I realize art dolls are recommended just for art collectors due to the delicate faceups... but I hope to makes custom OOAKs for kids as well. I feel they deserve to have something stunning & unique too. A doll that kindles their feminine warmth and authenticity (no matter their gender) and reminds them that they're enough as they are and should never have to feel like they have to be something else or part of any group or concept.

Why buy from me, you may ask. Well... I may not be the best (there's doll artists out there that truly amaze me & I can only hope I'll be as good as someday), but I truly love what I do and will do everything I can to make your dream doll come true. One unique thing about me is that I do sculpting :) It's been done all the time in the BJD world of dolls for ages, but apparently was unseen in the AG community until me ◡‿◡

I can modify any of the face molds [to a certain degree so far], typically regarding the chin, nose, lips, eyes, & ears. I like to elongate the chin many times, coming to more of a point with a more chiseled jawline... or even sometimes making a double chin which can be fun hehe ≧◡≦ Same with the nose; I usually prefer making it more pixie-like at the tip & bringing more definition along the bridge. I can make the eyes be more like the discontinued JLY#4 Asian mold or give your doll elf ears. One thing I pretty much always do though is either add an extra set of teeth on either side of the two default teeth or I cover them up completely for a closed lip look. And whether your doll has a single or double swoop bottom lip, I can easily change it to be the other. I like making the philtrum a bit more obvious too.

Perhaps you have a fur or feather friendly home, and your beloved pet took a bite out of your doll. Technically I could apply my molding skills to that scenario as well if you like my approach. There may be others out there who could make it look as good as new without having to completely paint over it. But with the materials, skills, knowledge, awareness, patience, or capacity I have at this time, I wouldn't be able to make the vinyl look as if a scratch or gash was never there - unless I fill it in & paint over it. Luckily I am able to consistently make the paint feel nearly as smooth as the vinyl. But even though I have hand-mixed my own paint blends to very closely match the light, medium, and dark AG skin tones, I still recommend repainting all the limbs and head to match each other, as there will be a subtle difference. This also gives you the opportunity to decide if you want to change your doll's skin tone. I would then restring the doll with new elastic, all ready to go ^_^ If the fabric body is damaged, I can make a new one for you too before I restring it.

But it does take me a much longer time than others to finish these meticulous projects. So if you are not patient, then other restorers out there may be a better fit for you. Whoever you choose, I hope you end up with the doll of your dreams.
